Onion Pakoda or Onion Fritters are one of the quickest evening snack one can make with the regular kitchen ingredients available everytime in everyones’s houshold.
It is super easy to make and goes best with a cup of chai. A spicy dip which can be a regular coconut chutney or a tomato ketchep adds to the taste of this recipe.

Indian chaat snack – boiled potatoes with vegetables and chaat masala. Chaat is a favourite of many and none you can make more simply than this tasty recipe. We mean, what’s not to like – boiled potatoes – good; fresh cucumber and tomatoes – good; chaat masala, salt and lemon juice – very good. It is not only easy to make, but also serves as a very nice side dish or an evening snack. It can be filling or just used as an appetizer as well. You can serve it along with a cracker or papad to augment its visual appeal as well as have another element to the simple, quick yet elegant dish. Also, if available, boiled small white chickpeas and freshly chopped onions go amazingly well with this chaat salad. Want to give it a twist? Use oregano and chilly flakes and serve with fresh sour cream. But now its time for our fun and quick boiled potato chaat recipe.
Chila is an Indian savoury pancake made of gramflour. It is a perfect breakfast dish which is light on the stomach yet it is filling. Our chila recipe is tweaked slightly to include bottle gourd or ghiya as an added ingredient. It adds a very nice flavour as well as makes it softer to chew. You may choose to further change the recipe by adding capsicum or onions. You may also, instead of using gramflour, use millet flour or oats flour. So without wasting time, get ready to make these healthy and boring sounding ingredients into a daily go-to breakfast dish or an evening snack with Masala Chai.
Ghiya Chila – Glutenfree savoury pancakes
Chila is an Indian savoury pancake made of gramflour.
Finely chop the remaining vegetables including green chilly.
Make batter
Add besan, salt as per taste, ajwain, turmeric, the chopped onions, tomato, green chilly and half of the coriander leaves. Add the grated ginger and bottle gourd. Now add 3/4 cup water. Mix all of tehse gently while making sure that the batter is thick but can be poured easily. Adjust quantity of water if needed.
Cook the Chila
Heat the pan. Introduce a few drops of ghee and baste the base of the pan with it. When the oil is hot enough, (just to the point when slight fumes appear), add a ladle of the batter right at the center. Using the steel bowl, start from the center and applying a little pressure spread the batter evenly across the base of the pan by moving the bowl clockwise and outwards. Make sure it is a thin layer of batter. Adjust quantity of batter if needed.
Drizzle a few drops of ghee to the sides of the batter and a little on the top. Adjust flame to medium.
Within a few minutes of cooking, you will see the edges turning golden with crisp and leaving the pan. Flip the chila and apply light pressure with the spatula.
The chila is ready to serve when both sides have multiple spots of lovely golden crisp.
Best served hot with coriander chutney or tomato ketchup or garlic chutney.
Marinate the chicken with all the above mentioned ingredients except for oil and let it marinade for 1 hour.Then heat a non-stick pan brush some white oil and add the chicken and close the Lid, after 5-7 mins flip the pieces and again cover and cook.
Serve it with Hot herb rice or Hot Butter Rice
For garnishing add some sauteed vegetables Grated Cheese and coriander leaves (optional)
Clean and chop the Palak and then put it to boil. Once it is boiled immediately transfer it to ice cold water and hot water turn by turn (this makes the Palak more juicy and tasty) then make a paste of it along with green chilli and salt. In a separate jar paste tomato1pc, onion 1pc, 2-3 cloves of garlic and 1inch ginger,2-3green chilly. To the frying pan add white oil and then add some chopped garlic and ginger and then add the paste to it, cook it for 2-3 mins add salt, and cook it for some time on sim. Now add the masala like turmeric, Â salt, and sugar and some ginger garlic paste. Keep cooking until you can see the oil getting separated if needed add lukewarm water to maintain the consistency. Finally, add the sweet corn to it. Add some fresh cream to it to make it more rich and tasty. Though this is optional.
And for the smoky flavour heat a charcoal put it in a steel bowl and add some ghee to it and immediately close the lid of the pan.

Whole Wheat Buns
Crispy from outside and soft from inside are these delicious whole wheat buns made from simple ingredients like whole wheat flour, yeast and water. These can be used as burger buns as well
Gently mix sugar, yeast and water to begin with. Allow it to rest for some time, this process will activate the yeast. You shall see the water getting foamy and bubbly.
Add salt to the whole wheat flour and mix well.
Add the yeast activated water to the flour and knead well for 10-12 mins.
Once the dough is soft and comes together, then make round balls and cover it with a damp cloth for 1 and half hour till it is doubled in its size.
Now divide the dough in smaller round balls of equal proportions
Place each dough ball on the baking tray and again let it rest for more 30 minutes
Pre heat the oven by 10 minutes at 200 degree Celsius
Brush the buns with milk and sesame seeds and bake them in the preheated oven for 15 minutes
To add glaze to the the buns brush it with olive oil

Wash and soak the chickpeas for 8 hours or overnight.Pressure cook the chick piece and drain.. do not overcook. In the mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, and freshly chopped onion leaves. whisk until all ingredients blend well. transfer the boiled chick piece to the mixing bowl, add salt, cumin powder and dried mint leaves. Toss to mix. In another bowl, mix diced bell paper, cucumber, onions and chopped coriander leaves. Add the chickpee mixture and toss it well. serve deliciously.

Instructions
Take all the ingredients into a spouted saucepan and place over medium heat. Keep stirring the mixture in between to keep the milk from scalding and wait for the mixture to boil.
Once the mixture comes to a boil, lower the heat intensity to simmer.
Bring to a boil once again on low heat.
Turn off the heat and stir well. Allow the mixture to stand for a few seconds to extract more flavor.
Strain the mixture into cups and serve hot.

In a bowl, add chicken , mayonnaise, mustard paste, salt, pepper, carrot and capsicum and mix well
now take a sandwich bread slice and spread the chicken mixture on it, place another bread slice and and remove the edges, make the sandwiches ready with the delicious chicken filling
Now toast the sandwich on a tawa using butter on both sides
To Serve
Serve the sandwiches along with some fries and ketchup and your delicious snack is ready
